The purpose of this master thesis is the development of an algorithm to optimize an injector for Spark Ignition Engines in an iterative way, using the information generated by 3D-CFD Simulations. This kind of approach to find the best injector, testing different set of geometrical sprays, is an idea born to get the same results of test benches, used to choose the best injector having more injectors to test. The development of this algorithm was generated on the simulations of an engine for racing applications used in the WRC (World Rally Championship). During the explanation of the work done, the most important phases of the development will be reported, starting from a general introduction on the problem and going step by step to the final results obtained.
Lo scopo della tesi è quello di sviluppare un algoritmo per la ricerca automatizzata del migliore iniettore per un determinato motore ad accensione comandata. L'algoritmo è stato sviluppato tenendo in considerazione due aspetti fondamentali: la tempistica di risoluzione e l'affidabilità dell'algoritmo stesso.
