Throughout history lighting has been at the core of human behavior. It is a constant modifier of senses and amplifies moods. Til recently lighting was not considered a grand design element but modern Architects such as Tadao Ando and Renzo Piano bask in the aura of high quality space it bring towards their projects. Lighting is essential in the direction of our focus towards the quality of space. The perception of sustainable lighting and its application in architecture creates insight into a method of design and more importantly the perception of a space. Furthermore the quality of space can change with the installation of a new lighting system. Our study demonstrates how lighting can change the perception of space a user experiences. In this project we propose an alternative to redesign a lighting system in one of the most recognized areas of the city of Milan - The application of a sustainable lighting system in Malpensa airport terminal 1. Our study focuses on the application of new lighting technology to enhance the mood and create a renovated experience on each visit to the airport.

Abstract
Our study focuses on the application of new lighting technology to enhance the mood and create a renovated experience on each visit to the airport.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
