Inquiring food packaging design, the dissertation revolves around the analysis of the many different pieces representing products and food on the pack, researching and classifying the visual elements on several GDO products as well as finishes and communicative tricks in use. Furthermore the dissertation investigates the many ways to develop a food packaging storytelling and how food itself withstand a trustworthy representation or instead increases expectations. This work process leads to the definition of recurring "design routes" highlighting the crucial impact of the designer in creating deceits and seduction through the design process of the packaging.
