Design of the Saudi Arabian pavilion for the EXPO 2015 Milano

The idea behind the design of the Saudi Arabian pavilion, is to give the visitor an idea of what Saudi Arabia is and the technology that it has. How Saudi Arabia utilizes its natural resources and through technology, transforms it into energy. The main concept of the design was to make a shape that represents change and moving forward. The choice of taking a rectangle and rotating it along the main building, is a metaphor as the rectangle represents Saudi Arabia “stereotype” with its solid corners and shape, and by rotating the rectangle we remove the boundaries and corners, and we come up with a dynamic shape, which represents Saudi Arabia and how its moving forward with technology and as a country. The concept behind the interior, was as before to give more information to the visitors about Saudi Arabia and its land. A section of the Saudi Arabia peninsula was taken, and used as the main walking experience for the visitor. Red sea - Alhijaz mountains - Rubuu Alkhali desert - Arabian gulf. they start from an introduction capsule “Energy capsule” : which shows the visitors, how Saudi Arabia utilizes its natural resources and transformed them into energy. this is so that the visitor can appreciate even more the nature of the land and the benefits of each section or part. Then they pass by the Water Exhibition, its lower than the other two exhibitions and it has a ramp, which represents going from the bottom of the sea to land, there they can experience the nature and qualities of the Red sea, with the usage of interactive screens and holograms. After the Sea comes the Mountain Exhibition, this exhibition is on the second floor “the whole building is two floors” where the Mountain Exhibition and the Desert Exhibition are attached to each other, in these two Exhibition the visitor can learn about these areas by using the interactive screens, holograms and other things such as smell, and feel. Before leaving the building, the visitor passes through an elevated green area, which is open even at night “EXPO at night” together with the restaurant, a place where the visitor can relax and have a taste of Saudi Arabian food. There is a secondary building, which is dedicated to employee’s and an area for the V.I.P. Its made of two floors. ground floor has all the offices, and server room, while the second floor is dedicated to a green open area and the VIP area together with their own private green area.

Il concetto del progetto del padiglione dell'Arabia Saudita , è quello di dare al visitatore un'idea di ciò che l'Arabia Saudita è, e la tecnologia che ha . Come l’Arabia Saudita utilizza le sue risorse naturali e attraverso la tecnologia , le trasforma in energia . Il concetto principale del padiglione era quello di creare una forma che rappresenta il cambiamento e l’andare avanti .La scelta di prendere il Rettangolo e ruotandolo lungo l'edificio principale , è una metafora , di come il rettangolo rappresenta l'Arabia Saudita " stereotipo " con I suoi angoli solidi e forma statica, e ruotando il rettangolo si trasformano I punti statici , e diventa forma dinamica , che rappresenta l'Arabia Saudita, e la sua ricercha avvanzata della tecnologia e come paese . Il concetto dietro la parte intern dell padiglione , era di dare più informazioni ai visitatori dell'Arabia Saudita e la sua terra . una sezione della penisola Araba e stata presa , e usata principalmente come l’esperienza per il visitatore . Red sea - montagne Alhijaz - Rubuu deserto Alkhali - Golfo Arabico . Si inizia da una capsula " capsula Energy " : che mostra ai visitatori , come l'Arabia Saudita utilizza le sue risorse naturali e li trasforma in energia . è così che il visitatore può apprezzare ancora di più la natura del terreno e dei benefici di ogni zona o parte . Poi si passa a il Water Exhibition, dove si trova al primo piano, e sotto le altre due mostre dove si puo arrivare con una una rampa, che rappresenta il corso dal fondo del mare alla terra , qui ci si può sperimentare la natura e le qualità del Mar Rosso , con l'utilizzo di schermi interattivi e ologrammi . Dopo il mare vengono il Mountain Exhibition e il Desert Exhibition, queste due mostre si trovano al secondo piano " l'intero edificio è a due piani ", le due mostre sono vicine l’uno al l’altro, in questi due Exhibition il visitatore può conoscere queste aree utilizzando le schermate interattive , ologrammi e altre mechanismi. Prima di lasciare padiglione , il visitatore attraversa un'area verde sopraelevata , che è aperto anche di notte " EXPO di notte " insieme al ristorante , un luogo dove il visitatore può rilassarsi e avere un assaggio di cibo proveniente dall’Arabia Saudita . C'è un edificio secondario , che è dedicato a I dipendenti e una zona per il VIP. Iédificio e fatto di due piani . piano terra dispone di tutti gli uffici e sala server , mentre il secondo piano è dedicato ad uno spazio aperto verde. e la zona VIP insieme con la propria area verde privata .
