This thesis is about the analysis of the behavior of the high sensitivity residual current circuit breaker at different frequencies from the ones of the net which vary depending on the elements it is composed of. The in-depth study of the magnetic materials that form the tape wound core, of the electronic board and the electromechanical relay, has brought development of a mathematical model apt to simulate the operating principles of the residual current circuit breaker. The attention is principally paid to verify the veracity of the tripping current calculated and to attest the immunity of the devices from unwanted tripping in presence of external electromagnetic interference through the analysis of the electromagnetic flux. At the end the results of the mathematical model and of the analysis of the finite elements are compared with the related laboratory proofs, showing a satisfying correspondence on the whole selection of the switches in the planning phase.

Abstract
At the end the results of the mathematical model and of the analysis of the finite elements are compared with the related laboratory proofs, showing a satisfying correspondence on the whole selection of the switches in the planning phase.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
