The aim of this work is the production of orthophotomosaics of slopes affected by instability phenomena to be co-registered with deformation data acquired through GBInSAR LiSALab technology. The applications were focused on the study areas of the Sernio landslide (SO), using images retrieved by a UAV system, and to the Gallivaggio slope (SO), using a ground based photogrammetric survey. The purposes of the thesis have been reached by implementing MATLAB© routines dedicated to the generation of the slope orthophoto using the plain interpolating the point cloud obtained by photogrammetric techniques. The orthorectification process of the photograms has been implemented by using both the rigorous and the anchor point methods, with the nearest neighbor and the bilinear algorithms as interpolation methods. After that, the orthophotos have been mosaiced through another MATLAB© code which assigns radiometric values to the pixels of the overlapped areas using, first, a minimum distance criterion, and, then the seam line technique. All the products generated through MATLAB© code have been geometrically and radiometrically assessed, using similar products obtained by the commercial software Agisoft PhotoScan, showing a substantial coherence. In the Sernio study case, it was possible to superimpose the radar data onto the landslide orthophotomosaic, making use of transparency in order to guarantee an easy visual interpretation. This operation was not realized for the Gallivaggio slope because of some problems linked to the survey geometrical configuration; therefore, a method has been implemented to back-project the GBInSAR data directly onto the original photogram, reaching good results in the readability of the deformation map, although losing the ortophoto metric content. The final products aim at simplifying the interpretation and the comprehension of radar data, a fundamental issue especially when monitoring instability phenomena for civil protection operations.

Abstract
The final products aim at simplifying the interpretation and the comprehension of radar data, a fundamental issue especially when monitoring instability phenomena for civil protection operations.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
