Matrix. Experimental vision of urban space

The experiment allows us to understand what is architecture today, the place of an architect in contemporary world and unleash the hidden potential of current culture. The research starts from understanding the cultural situation today - its processes and mechanism of working. Noticeable that the scientific revolution leads to an inevitable shift of traditional semantic elements to some system of studies. As a result not religion, not historical tradition or ritual but the form of cognition becomes the top of the tree of the current culture. At this stage people are gradually losing their true world, their roots and ground. All surrounded area becomes a heritage. The chapter is devoted to philosophical understanding of current culture and justification for the practical application described in a last part of research. The second part of research introduces the tool for the project - weak and strong form of architecture. Since the project has experimental character the value of using weak and strong is idea of criticality. In fact criticality of architecture is expressed by the fact that it aims to call in question of traditions and customs - exactly what contemporary culture does today. Uniqueness of such approach is that it has to create a space, and at the same time, it displaces this space. It has to be functional and at the same time, it removes the functionality. The third part of the research is devoted to the representation of the architectural space of current society on case study of the city of Milan. It shows how the idea of rational matrix of being can be distributed in the city generally and on its city parts particularly.
