Due to the increasing costs of fossil fuels, the interest in small-scale combined heat and electrical power systems working with renewable energies is rising. In particular, biomass micro-CHP systems are emerging in a range of electrical power from 1 to 50 kW. The main objective of this study has been to investigate part of a solid biomass fuelled micro-cogeneration systems with a hot air engines (Ericsson Engine). After a literature review and an analysis of the current micro-CHP system, the SYLWATT Project has been presented. It has been also presented the Laboratory activities done, associated with components of micro-CHP system, with the test bench in TEMPO Lab, in Valenciennes.

Abstract
Due to the increasing costs of fossil fuels, the interest in small-scale combined heat and electrical power systems working with renewable energies is rising. In particular, biomass micro-CHP systems are emerging in a range of electrical power from 1 to 50 kW. The main objective of this study has been to investigate part of a solid biomass fuelled micro-cogeneration systems with a hot air engines (Ericsson Engine). After a literature review and an analysis of the current micro-CHP system, the SYLWATT Project has been presented. It has been also presented the Laboratory activities done, associated with components of micro-CHP system, with the test bench in TEMPO Lab, in Valenciennes.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
