El cinéma cosmico. Personaggi, tematiche ed ideali raccontano la società messicana

The thesis addresses the ways in which the Mexican cinema has been, and still is, able to communicate the cultural identity and national social to their citizens and the international public. The study therefore addressed and analyzed the characters, the themes and visual modes used by the film industry since its inception, in 1896, 'till today. We will then analyzed the interplay between cinema, society, culture and politics, seeking the meaning of Mexicanness and how it is transmitted by the Mexican film-makers.

La tesi affronta le modalità attraverso cui il cinema messicano è stato, ed è tuttora, in grado di comunicare ai propri cittadini e al pubblico internazionale l’identità culturale e sociale nazionale. La studio ha dunque affrontato e analizzato i personaggi, le tematiche e i modi visivi usati dall’industria cinematografica dalla sua nascita, nel 1896, ad oggi. Si è quindi analizzato l’intreccio tra cinema, società, cultura e politica, ricercando la messicanità trasmessa dagli autori messicani.
