Despite the availability of robots with high level of productivity, precision and dexterity, large sectors of the manufacturing industry still rely on manual assembly for mass production. In practice many situations occur where as a result of some obstacles, manual assembly is not possible. Such a scenario initiates new challenges and require novel methodologies to preserve worker’s safety and productivity. The goal of this thesis is to develop a simulation of a real scenario, where a worker is shifting some load by use of an industrial manipulator-balancer, with assistance of visual servoing control. In the first few chapters, some general theoretical introduction have been presented. Firstly, the open-chain manipulators are explained in details. Here the concepts of direct kinematics, inverse kinematics, dynamics, which lately are used as base for modeling the manipulator, are introduced. In addition, the image capture, machine vision and visual servoing have been explained. A reference is made in this thesis to a manipulator produced by Indeva, which belongs to the Indeva Liftronic series of intelligent industrial manipulators. Finally the simulation and the results of it are presented, of the industrial manipulatorbalancer where the positioning is done by using the visual servoing control technology. The results of this simulation will be used as basis for imposing a prototype of such manipulator equipped with cameras and sensors, and practically tested in a real scenario.

Abstract
The results of this simulation will be used as basis for imposing a prototype of such manipulator equipped with cameras and sensors, and practically tested in a real scenario.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
