Abstract
In this paper is meant to deepen the study of a dynamic instability that can happen, in particular, traveling downhill at high speed on racing bicycles. This instability takes the name of "wobble" or, more commonly, "shimmy". Having available data acquired on a racing bicycle, properly instrumented to highlight the phenomenon of shimmy, in a portion of descent where the speed was high enough to trigger the vibration, it was decided after some experiments to investigate the dynamics of cycling in the presence of the oscillation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
