Il ruolo degli stakeholder network nello sviluppo delle sustainable enterprise​

Purpose. This thesis aim to study the role of the stakeholder networks in the different stages of the sustainable entrepreneurial process. At first the research focuses on the individuation of the types of the stakeholder networks and the key activities supported by the stakeholder networks during the sustainable entrepreneurial process. Then it observes the ways that lead to the formation of stakeholder networks and their contribution in terms of social capital. Research Methodology. In order to address this dissertation’s aim it has been analyzed the literature on the sustainable enterprise and stakeholder networks, to identify the gaps that allowed the formulation of the research questions, which guided the selection and the analysis of the cases. It has been applied the Gioia Methodology for the analysis of the cases. Through the use of NVivo, a qualitative data analysis computer software package, the transverse elements to the different cases are been identified and discussed in relation to the surveyed literature. Findings. This research provides contributions in addressing sustainable entrepreneurs in the development and promotion of the correct type of stakeholder networks during a particular stage of the sustainable entrepreneurial process. The types of stakeholder networks and their contribution in the different phases of the entrepreneurial process are discussed in order to answer to the research questions. Research limits and follow-up. This research concerns only four Italian case studies, so the findings are limited by the number of the cases and the Italian context. This study is a first step for a future research on the evolution of the stakeholder networks in the sustainable enterprises. Future developments could focus on the analysis of the sustainable enterprises in the same sector, supported by different stakeholder networks, in order to provide a more accurate description of the different types of stakeholder networks that can support a specific sector. Another potential area of research could be the analysis of the link between the stakeholders network and the tensions resulting from the triple bottom line. The findings of this thesis show a link between this two factors and it would be interesting to investigate it.

Obiettivo. Questa tesi si pone come scopo di studiare il ruolo che gli stakeholder network hanno nelle diverse fasi del processo imprenditoriale sostenibile. Innanzitutto la ricerca si focalizza sull’individuazione delle tipologie di stakeholder network e le attività chiave che gli stakeholder network supportano durante il processo di sviluppo delle sustainable enterprise. Successivamente, si osservano le modalità che portano alla formazione degli stakeholder network e il loro contributo in termini di capitale sociale. Metodologia di Ricerca. Per raggiungere lo scopo della tesi è stata analizzata la letteratura riguardante le sustainable enterprise e gli stakeholder network, per identificarne le lacune che hanno permesso la formulazione delle domande di ricerche, che hanno guidato la selezione e l’analisi dei casi. Per l’analisi dei casi è stata applicata la Metodologia Gioia. Con il supporto del software NVivo, un programma finalizzato all'analisi qualitativa computer based, sono stati identificati gli elementi trasversali delle realtà studiate, e questi sono stati poi messi in relazione con la letteratura studiata. Risultati. Questa ricerca indirizza i sustainable entrepreneur nello sviluppo e nella promozione della creazione della corretta tipologia di stakeholder network durante un particolare stadio di sviluppo dell’impresa. Le tipologie di stakeholder network e il loro contributo nelle diversi fasi del processo imprenditoriale vengono illustrati in modo da rispondere agli obiettivi iniziali. Limiti e Sviluppi Futuri della Ricerca. Il campione utilizzato per questo studio è limitato all’analisi di quattro casi italiani. Quindi bisogna tener conto che i risultati ottenuti fanno riferimento a un campione limitato, sia di numero che di contesto. Questo studio si propone come una prima ricerca sull’evoluzione degli stakeholder network nelle sustainable enterprise, che rappresenta il primo step per approfondimenti futuri. Gli sviluppi futuri possono interessare l’analisi di sustainable enterprise che hanno sviluppato stakeholder network differenti e che appartengono allo stesso settore, in modo da fornire una descrizione più precisa delle diverse tipologie di stakeholder network che possono supportare uno specifico settore. Inoltre un altro potenziale ambito di ricerca potrebbe essere l’analisi del legame tra gli stakeholder network e le tensioni derivanti dalla triple bottom line. In letteratura manca un approfondimento a riguardo, e dai risultati di questa tesi emerge un legame tra i due fattori, che sarebbe interessante indagare.
