Nowadays, Red River in Hanoi is detached from the urban system and is threatened by the flood. Here we propose two ideas for the river bank to response to the mentioned problems. Making a green belt is ideal for the landscape aspect since the city center is lack of green and for uniforming the random open spaces along the riverside as well. The secondary dyke will protect the city from the flood, we try to design a dyke that combines with landscape to give a better life quality to the citizens. In the area, there is a most eye-catching site – Longbien market, its significance is not only because it is located under the Longbien bridge—the historical iconic landmark connects two parts of the city, but also because of its important function. But now the market is under poor situation, it is vitally urgent to rebuild it. The architectonic design will be the rebuilt of the Longbien Market.
