The purpose of this work is to illustrate the monitoring campaign performed between June 2015 and April 2016 in the former church of San Nicolao in Bellano (Lecco). The research has been carried out in three phases: historical research; ongoing monitoring of the environmental micro-climate parameters (air temperature, relative humidity RH, surface temperature) and comparison between four different methodologies of masonry MC measurement (oven-dry method, permanent points of measure or PPM, ongoing monitoring and free-water sensors); decay survey and project of a new temporary museum. The building, connected since its construction to the Congregation of Umiliati, has been subjected, from the middle of the XVI century, to architectural and functional changes that have made it a rich historical palinsesto, an architectural symbol of the Lecchese territory and the Valsassina; during the last years, the carelessness combined to moisture in its various forms have compromised not only its possible, permanent uses but also the integrity of its constituent parts. Starting from the analysis of moisture in the environment and in the masonries, objectives are to study the more effective monitoring methodologies for the conservation of the structures, and the most suitable interior design for the preservation of this historical building.

Abstract
Starting from the analysis of moisture in the environment and in the masonries, objectives are to study the more effective monitoring methodologies for the conservation of the structures, and the most suitable interior design for the preservation of this historical building.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
