Usability testing refers to evaluating a product or service by testing it with representative users. It is the best way to understand how real users experience your product. The first documented usability testing came in 1981, and after more than 30 years of development, usability testing has become an indispensable part in the product design development and maintenance phases. Among the usability testing workflow, recruiting and selecting target users is one of the most important links of it. The quality of the target user directly determines the effect of the test. Moreover, the test result directly related to whether the existing problems could be found in the product. Therefore, recruiting target users is the priority of priorities in usability testing. Although for a company, they can contact the intermediary to help them recruit the testing user, but as we all know the testing user that recruited by the intermediary their quality is relatively difficult to control. So it is obviously unreliable to bet on the intermediary. Therefore, building their own user database and searching the right target user to do the usability testing has become an increasingly important issue for the company. In this context, this thesis elaborate a new service system called Hi-APUD, as a lightweight service system, its aim is to help the company to build the user database step by step and also help the usability testing staff to search and select the target testing user for usability testing in a very easy, quick and accurate way. Besides, it allows the right testing user to use their using experience and background to better support the usability testing and thus to better improve the user experience of the testing product. For the testing staff, Hi-APUD helps them to save the testing user recruitment time in the meantime to guarantee the quality of the target testing user and make the user that it find to highly matched the testing content and requirement. It greatly help the staff to improve the complexity of the past cumbersome user recruitment process and freed them from current situation. For the company, except build their own user database Hi-APUD also help them to save the budget which is the key point that a company always concerned about.
