The attitude control of a tilt-rotor has a fundamental role for the aircraft and is focused on several aspects: from aircraft stabilisation to pilot workload alleviation, from inter-axis decoupling to performance and to disturbance rejection. Control laws are often defined with synthesis techniques based on single-variable systems, i.e., the feedback loop is closed on each axis and is considered separately. In this thesis a systematic method oriented to the multi-variable, robust synthesis, based on structured Hinf technique, has been developed for the tilt-rotor XV-15, in different operating conditions; in this way, it is possible to obtain a regulator, with a-priori fixed structure, that meets imposed requirements. This procedure is then applied to the controller synthesis, considering different approaches, all based on the structured Hinf technique. Finally, obtained results have been discussed comparing developed approaches to the original implemented control system and highlighting pros and cons of proposed strategies.

Abstract
Finally, obtained results have been discussed comparing developed approaches to the original implemented control system and highlighting pros and cons of proposed strategies.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
