In this thesis a possible application of full electric braking system for emergency braking maneuvers is investigated. A Simulink model related to the longitudinal dynamics of a full electric motors vehicle is implemented. The first part of the work consists in the development of a Kalman filter, designed to estimate the longitudinal speed, the angular speeds and the friction coefficients of each wheel as accurately as possible, considering the actual measurements that are available in such a kind of vehicle. The second part is related to the development of a modified ABS control logic based on the traditional cycle, designed to use the additional informations provided by Kalman filter in order to increase the braking performances.

Abstract
In this thesis a possible application of full electric braking system for emergency braking maneuvers is investigated. A Simulink model related to the longitudinal dynamics of a full electric motors vehicle is implemented. The first part of the work consists in the development of a Kalman filter, designed to estimate the longitudinal speed, the angular speeds and the friction coefficients of each wheel as accurately as possible, considering the actual measurements that are available in such a kind of vehicle. The second part is related to the development of a modified ABS control logic based on the traditional cycle, designed to use the additional informations provided by Kalman filter in order to increase the braking performances.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
