The aim of this work is to create a polymeric coating in alginate and gelatin to waterproof the porous tubular polymeric scaffold lumen applicable for the engineering of small caliber vessels. For this purpose, a waterproofing gel coating will be developed which on one hand allows cell adhesion and on the other makes the porous tubular scaffold surface waterproof. Once the gel is made, it will be mechanically characterized by uncompressed compression tests and degradation tests. Subsequently, the impermeability of the polymer coating, tested in the lumen of the scaffold realized, will be tested through a continuous perfusion circuit.

Abstract
The aim of this work is to create a polymeric coating in alginate and gelatin to waterproof the porous tubular polymeric scaffold lumen applicable for the engineering of small caliber vessels. For this purpose, a waterproofing gel coating will be developed which on one hand allows cell adhesion and on the other makes the porous tubular scaffold surface waterproof. Once the gel is made, it will be mechanically characterized by uncompressed compression tests and degradation tests. Subsequently, the impermeability of the polymer coating, tested in the lumen of the scaffold realized, will be tested through a continuous perfusion circuit.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
