The field of development of this thesis is the one related to multi- sensorial rehabilitation therapies of children with Neurodevelopmental Disorder (NDD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). With these terms we mean a wide range of cognitive de cits that inevitably impact on areas that are fundamental for people’s quality of life. Among the di erent therapies used today there are methods that concern a multi-sensory stimulation approach from childhood to immediately promote the development of autonomies and mitigate the di culties derived from perceptive aberrations of reality. This thesis, within this context, makes available to therapists and psychologists solid tools, developed through research and observation in the eld, to carry out the experimentation of new therapies based on the use of the smell. Olfactory stimulation is a powerful lever to trigger reactions at a cerebral and physiological levels, both consciously and unconsciously, being able to have a direct impact on cognitive processes such as the sedimentation of memory. In this sense, this research aim to contribute through the design of an experiential system that will allow to build rehabilitation experiences that foresee olfactory stimulation as a central element.

Abstract
In this sense, this research aim to contribute through the design of an experiential system that will allow to build rehabilitation experiences that foresee olfactory stimulation as a central element.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
