The Timber panel construction is increasingly growing these days, thanks to his advantages, such as its lightness with regards to its strength, the fast assembly, the low thermal conductivity with regards to the traditional building technologies. This thesis work aims to take advantages of these qualities using an innovative connection system, named X-Mini, studying the behaviour of some of its plates with a commercial finite element software. The connection system came from a previous innovation in the Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) world, whereas the actual version has been developed for a Hybrid Timber Frame wall type. Furthermore, given the simple assembly of the elements and the lightness of the walls, the possibility to develop a fuse-type plate exploiting the ductility of the steel is investigated. This has been done in order to satisfy the criteria of the Italian Building Code 2018 for the seismic design, with a dissipative approach. In fact, this technology is suitable for the substitution of the damaged elements, due to the simple way to repair the building.

Abstract
In fact, this technology is suitable for the substitution of the damaged elements, due to the simple way to repair the building.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
