The purpose of this thesis is the modeling of a thermal system for the simulation of a copper heat sink used as a cooling system for electrical components. We will focus on the dynamics that occur from the surface of the processor at the base of the heatsink fins. The peculiarity of this work lies in the application of meta-programming methods for the formulation, and therefore, the writing in Modelica code, of equations for the interfaces linking models with different characteristics. Will be presented the mathematical formulations of models, their implementation and their use in conclusive verification simulations. All this with the aim of keeping each result adaptable to related thermal cases like the one considered.

Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is the modeling of a thermal system for the simulation of a copper heat sink used as a cooling system for electrical components. We will focus on the dynamics that occur from the surface of the processor at the base of the heatsink fins. The peculiarity of this work lies in the application of meta-programming methods for the formulation, and therefore, the writing in Modelica code, of equations for the interfaces linking models with different characteristics. Will be presented the mathematical formulations of models, their implementation and their use in conclusive verification simulations. All this with the aim of keeping each result adaptable to related thermal cases like the one considered.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
