Abstract
In the thesis is developed a critical synthesis of actual knowledge about the problem of the estimation on the geological risk the tunnels construction; in fact, the underground work involves a sum of technical problems that can be complex enough depending on the geological and geological-environmental context, where the work will be realized. The experience shown in the international field demonstrates how often it can happens a “geological unexpected” that can determine the increasing in cost and timing on the opera realization. The bibliographic analysis and real case permitted to outline a methodological approach through stochastic analysis and definition the thresholds of acceptability, to reach optimal design solutions from all points of view (including financial) and guarantee security for the workers, in the construction phase, and users of the work forever. The methodological approach proposed, applied in real case, the one of Tehran’s Metro tunnel, where through the statistical characterization of soil and a stochastic modeling of soil’s behavior after excavation, were reached two scenarios of risk related to different excavation techniques, and later, it was identified the best technique for a suitable digging in that environment and social-economic context.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
