Starting from the assumption that living means feeling everywhere at home, this is the opening sentence that Professor Ico Migliore started the lecture on New Interior 2021-2022. What I'm investigating in my research is the Idea of Migration, Urban campfires, and the sense of feeling at home. If we investigated our history as human beings, we would see that our ancestors have migrated, looking for better habitats, environments, and food. However, humans are living creatures that migrate, and animals such as birds. It’s always have been a crucial journey for living beings to look for a better home. What if everywhere we go, we can feel at home? A significant Number of the Corvetto population are foreign inhabitants, and soon, Polimi international students will be part of the Corvetto community. The student life will be occupied by working, meeting, and studying, yet finding themselves on the weekend or in their free time facing the challenge of social isolation. Social isolation is a challenge that creates a gap between students and their community. In trying to understand how to fill this social gap, this research focuses on the international student’s social life during the weekend and how to dissolve the challenges of social barriers to encourage engagement between international students and their beers and the local community. To achieve social sustainability through “fostering social cohesion, promoting social justice, tackling loneliness and mental health.”Polimi Home is a space that emphasizes social diversity and reflects international students' needs. Also, respecting Heritage by considering the different layers of understanding the building. a space to be diverse and inclusive by reflecting the tangible and intangible needs of international students and the local community.

Partendo dal presupposto che vivere vuol dire sentirsi ovunque a casa, questa è la frase di apertura con cui il professor Ico Migliore ha aperto la lezione su Nuovi interni 2021-2022. Quello che sto indagando nella mia ricerca è l'idea di migrazione, i fuochi urbani e il senso di sentirsi a casa. Se indaghiamo sulla nostra storia come esseri umani, vedremmo che i nostri antenati sono migrati, alla ricerca di habitat, ambienti e cibo migliori. Tuttavia, gli esseri umani sono creature viventi che migrano e animali come gli uccelli. È sempre stato un viaggio cruciale per gli esseri viventi alla ricerca di una casa migliore. E se ovunque andiamo potessimo sentirci a casa? Una parte significativa della popolazione di Corvetto è costituita da residenti stranieri e presto gli studenti internazionali Polimi entreranno a far parte della comunità di Corvetto. La vita studentesca sarà occupata dal lavoro, dagli incontri e dallo studio, trovandosi tuttavia nel fine settimana o nel tempo libero ad affrontare la sfida dell'isolamento sociale. L'isolamento sociale è una sfida che crea un divario tra gli studenti e la loro comunità. Nel tentativo di capire come colmare questo divario sociale, questa ricerca si concentra sulla vita sociale dello studente internazionale durante il fine settimana e su come dissolvere le sfide delle barriere sociali per incoraggiare l'impegno tra gli studenti internazionali e le loro birre e la comunità locale. Raggiungere la sostenibilità sociale attraverso “la promozione della coesione sociale, la promozione della giustizia sociale, la lotta alla solitudine e alla salute mentale”. Polimi Home è uno spazio che enfatizza la diversità sociale e riflette le esigenze degli studenti internazionali. Inoltre, rispettando il patrimonio considerando i diversi livelli di comprensione dell'edificio. uno spazio per essere diversificato e inclusivo riflettendo i bisogni tangibili e intangibili degli studenti internazionali e della comunità locale.
