This thesis explores the design dilemma that contrasts preservation and accessibility in authorial fashion archives, taking the Gianfranco Ferré Research Center as a case study. The archive, guardian of an inestimable material and immaterial heritage, faces the need to protect its contents while simultaneously limiting their public fruition. The research investigates how to mediate the complexity of Gianfranco Ferré's design thinking, his method, his inspirations, and his architectural poetics, through a digital experience that does not limit itself to showing, but rather activates a deep relationship with the user. Adopting a Research Through Design approach, the project proposes a model of a controlled narrative interface: an interactive panel conceived as a "mirror-frame". Activating in the visitor's presence, the prototype introduces them to a "digital atelier" where it is possible to explore the connections between the garments, the artistic sources, and the designer's memories. The "origami shirt" is assumed as the semantic and operational fulcrum, an access point to decode the entire Ferréan grammar. The contribution of this thesis is twofold: on a cultural level, it offers a model to reconfigure the narrative of a fashion archive, enhancing its immaterial heritage; on a design level, it delivers a functional prototype, validated through user tests, which demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform an archive from a static repository into a "sensitive organism," balancing curatorial rigor with openness to participation .
La presente tesi esplora il dilemma progettuale che contrappone tutela e accessibilità negli archivi di moda d'autore, prendendo come caso studio il Centro di Ricerca Gianfranco Ferré. L'archivio, custode di un inestimabile patrimonio materiale e immateriale, si confronta con la necessità di proteggere i propri contenuti limitandone al contempo la fruizione pubblica . La ricerca si interroga su come mediare la complessità del pensiero progettuale di Gianfranco Ferré il suo metodo, le sue ispirazioni e la sua poetica architettonica, attraverso un'esperienza digitale che non si limiti a mostrare, ma che attivi una relazione profonda con l'utente . Adottando un approccio di Research Through Design , il progetto propone un modello di interfaccia narrativa controllata: un pannello interattivo concepito come "cornice-specchio". Attivandosi alla presenza del visitatore, il prototipo lo introduce in un "atelier digitale" dove è possibile esplorare le connessioni tra i capi, le fonti artistiche e le memorie dello stilista . La "camicia origami" viene assunta come fulcro semantico e operativo, un punto di accesso per decodificare l'intera grammatica ferréiana. Il contributo della tesi è duplice: sul piano culturale, offre un modello per riconfigurare il racconto di un archivio di moda, valorizzandone il patrimonio immateriale ; sul piano progettuale, consegna un prototipo funzionante, validato tramite user test, che dimostra come un design attento possa trasformare un archivio da deposito statico a "organismo sensibile", bilanciando rigore conservativo e apertura alla partecipazione.
