The interpretations that have shaped the concept of educational poverty over the years contribute to establishing its multidimensional nature, requiring the intersection of multiple perspectives, from the social and economic to the urban. Having recognized the role that the educational environment plays in shaping individual abilities, the need emerges to focus reflection on the social and educational infrastructures of territories. This work adopts as its interpretive key the territorial dimension of three covenant-based instruments, the School-Family Co-responsibility Pacts, the Collaboration Pacts, and the Community Educational Pacts, which outline an educational environment that extends beyond the boundaries of the school, formalizing a collaboration between the school community and territorial actors, including local institutions, citizens, associations, and the Third Sector. The analysis of experiences that have taken place in various Italian cities, including Milan, Turin, Naples, and Verona, conducted through interviews and territorial mapping, presents a picture in which the school takes on the role of a new territorial actor: a neighborhood anchor, a place of active citizenship, a meeting and exchange point with the city. The work of reconstructing and studying these experiences was carried out in parallel with my participation in the Caleidoscopio project, in the Milanese neighborhood of Gratosoglio, which led, in 2025, to the signing of the Community Educational Pact, making it possible to compare this case with the trends previously identified. In particular, the experience on the construction site for the redevelopment of the former Spazio Piccolo Principe led to one of the research's outcomes: a kit for the co-design of school spaces, conceived as a support tool for workshops and laboratory sessions aimed at fostering the experimentation of plural forms of design, through which children become aware of their renewed role within urban dynamics.

Abstract
In particular, the experience on the construction site for the redevelopment of the former Spazio Piccolo Principe led to one of the research's outcomes: a kit for the co-design of school spaces, conceived as a support tool for workshops and laboratory sessions aimed at fostering the experimentation of plural forms of design, through which children become aware of their renewed role within urban dynamics.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
