Evoluzione del mercato delle coperture in lose nella regione autonoma Valle d’Aosta : valori culturali e prestazionali

The evolution of the typical roof’s market in the region of Aosta Valley has been studied in this thesis. In particular, we analyze this issue by passing through the understanding of technics, material analysis, study of law and interviews with some craftsmen. The aim of this thesis concerns not only the analysis of the legislation with a critical eye, but the overall picture of a profession and a very specific technics that is the custodian of cultural, architectural and landscaping heritage. The framework provided by this thesis has also allowed the analysis of a still unused technique that was heavily used until the late nineteenth century. For these reasons we decided to go through the study of an ancient technique to better understand all the consequences that derive from the use of materials from around the world and innovative techniques.

L’evoluzione del mercato delle coperture in lose nella Regione Autonoma Valle d’Aosta è stato oggetto di studio in questa tesi. In particolare ci si è rivolti a analizzare questo argomento passando attraverso la comprensione della tecnica, l’analisi dei materiali, lo studio della normativa e le interviste ad alcuni attori. Il fine di questa tesi riguarda non solo l’analisi della normativa con uno sguardo critico, ma la visione d’insieme di un mestiere e di una tecnica molto particolari custodi di un patrimonio culturale, architettonico e paesaggistico. Il quadro fornito dalla tesi ha anche permesso l’analisi e la rilevazione di una tecnica tuttora in disuso ma fortemente utilizzata fino alla fine del XIX secolo. Per i suddetti motivi si è deciso di passare attraverso lo studio di una tecnica antica per capire al meglio tutte le conseguenze che sono derivate dall’uso di materiali provenienti dal tutto mondo e di tecniche innovative.
