L'abbraccio dell'orrido

Nesso, a small town in the province of Como, is located on the right of the first arm of Como's Lake reached by the SS Lariana. The first settlements date back to the Middle Ages, it is shown the Churches of SS Pietro and Paul (XI) and the Castle (1118). But it was in the Renaissance that Nesso buy prestige, thanks to the presence of the river Tuf and Nosè, became an important center paper production. The project is designed to emphasize the natural beauty of Nesso, rediscovering ancient steps eroded over time, building new and modern but in perfect harmony with the surrounding environment. The project is well designed, planning to establish a new core that it fits in the territory. Considering the different natural features of the site, the idea is to build a square cut into the rock above the foundation of the old buildings demolished to allow the eighteenth century construction of Highway 583. Providing also a solution to the problem of viability is resolved with the construction of a double bridge that coming from the main road it is going to engage in the rock so to isolate the passage automotive, showing their beauty emphasizing the uniqueness of the place, specifically the Waterfall. On the square is a shopping arcade, a glimpse at Waterfall and a spa in the basement built on two levels. Through the construction of a pedestrian tunnel, beneath the housing, You can get to the point of connection between the river and Tuf Nosè. At the exit of the passage will be built a swimming pool natural adjacent to the restaurant, which connects the two sides of horror. The last part of this path connects to the walls of the restaurant old castle, which encircle the new park. Near the ruins, we find the Church of San Lorenzo. In order to enrich the project, has been studied the reconstruction of the churchyard simultaneously with the realization of the square where we will build u n youth hostel, overlooking Como's Lake.

Nesso, piccolo paese della provincia di Como,è situato sulla destra del primo ramo del Lago di Como raggiungibile attraverso la S.S. Lariana. I primi insediamenti risalgono all'epoca Medioevale, ne sono testimonianza la Chiese dei S.S.Pietro e Paolo (XI) ed il Castello (1118). Ma è nel Rinascimento che Nesso acquista prestigio, grazie alla presenza del fiume Tuf e Nosè, diventa un importante centro di produzione della carta. Terminata la sua Età dell’Oro, perde la propria identità lasciando che le antiche cartiere fossero chiuse e che i mulini venissero abbandonati. Il progetto ha l’obiettivo di enfatizzare la bellezza paesaggistica di Nesso, riscoprendo antichi passaggi erosi nel tempo, costruendone di nuovi e moderni ma in perfetta sintonia con l’ambiente circostante. Il progetto viene così studiato, pensando alla creazione di un nucleo nuovo che si inserisca nel territorio. Considerando le differenti caratteristiche naturalistiche del luogo, l’idea è di costruire una piazza scavata nella roccia, sopra le fondamenta delle antiche abitazioni settecentesche demolite per permettere la realizzazione della Strada Statale 583. Fornendo inoltre, una soluzione al problema della viabilità viene risolto con la realizzazione di un doppio ponte che giungendo dalla Strada Statale si va ad innestare nella roccia andando così a isolare il passaggio automobilistico, mostrando la propria bellezza esaltando l’unicità del luogo, nello specifico della Cascata dell’orrido. Sulla piazza si affaccia una zona commerciale porticata, uno scorcio sulla Cascata e, al piano sotterraneo una Spa realizzata su due livelli. Attraverso la realizzazione di un tunnel pedonale, sottostante le abitazioni, sarà possibile raggiungere il punto di connessione tra il fiume Tuf e Nosè. All’uscita del passaggio verrà realizzata una piscina d’acqua naturale adiacente il ristorante che collega le due sponde dell’orrido. L’ultimo tratto di questo percorso collegherà il ristorante alle mura del vecchio Castello, che cingeranno il nuovo parco. Nelle vicinanze delle antiche rovine, troviamo la Chiesa di S.Lorenzo. Al fine arrichire il progetto, è stata studiato il rifacimento del sagrato simultaneamente alla realizzazione della piazza ove costruiremo u n ostello della gioventù, affacciato sul Lago di Como.
