In China, Yaodong Cave is one of the typical underground houses that existed for thousands of years. The earth that surrounds the interior space serves as an effective insulator, keeping the inside of the structure comfortable in thermal condition. Additionally, the geothermal effect from the earth also balance the temperature inside to a comfortable level for human being. The aim of this study is trying to renovate the old Yaodong cave in China with new design, materials and technologies in order to make the old cave suitable for a modern life. Different approaches are compared in order to make a best result. Also, the possibilities of renew the whole Yaodong area is discussed.
In cina, la grotta Yangdong è una delle abitazioni sotterranee che esistono da migliaia di anni.Il suolo che circonda lo spazio interno funge da strato di isolamento, mantenendo la struttura interna confortevole nella condizione termica.Ulteriormente, l'effetto geotermico dalla terra anche bilancia la temperatura interna ad un livello confortevole per gli esseri umani. Lo scopo di questo studio sta cercando di rinnovare la vecchia grotta Yangdong in cina con I nuovi disegn materiali e tecnologie allo scopo di rendere la vecchia grotta adatta ad una vita moderna.I diversi approcci sono confrontati allo scopo di apportare un miglior risultato. Abstract
