Manufacti is an experimental project that aims to investigate a new model of design production and distribution of objects created by local craftsmen and designed by designer globally. The project starts from the investigation of two worlds: artisanship and “Indie” design. From the perspective of the craft, was analyzed the current difficult situation and were obtained project driver to try to identify new tools needed to allow the artisans to defend themselves in the global market. Regarding the design, the research has focused on the reality of “designers to consumer” system (d2c), design entrepreneur and self-producer, analyzing supply chains currently in place. Through the project “Manufacti - crafts design” I have experienced what can be the possible fields of innovation, issues related to relationships between different players and try to develop a possible new model of interaction between artisans, designers and customer. This thanks to the implementation of pilot projects with which I am going to analyze the different aspects to be solved and the potential of the model of diffuse factory. The ultimate goal is to try to identify which processes are possible to improve, automate, and which are problematic in these new sectors of production of design objects, where the craft becomes a major partner.

Abstract
The ultimate goal is to try to identify which processes are possible to improve, automate, and which are problematic in these new sectors of production of design objects, where the craft becomes a major partner.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
