Nowadays heat pumps are machines playing a remarkable role in the air conditioning field related to residential, industrial and commercial areas. In fact, they are able to achieve high performance levels through the exploitation of renewable energies and they have the power to do this without delivering local pollution or greenhouse emissions. We are contemplating the possibility to connect water-to-water heat pumps to the Industrial Aqueduct of Como, in order to use the water flowing through the main network, coming from the Como lake basin, as a source of exchange, apt to climatize buildings present in the area served by the Aqueduct. In order to identify the average seasonal performance achievable through the application of the above-mentioned system, we tested a water-to-water heat pump as a model, with reference to the standards EN 14825 and EN 14511. We also extend to the entire city of Como the idea of a potential climatization of the environments through the use of water coming from the lake and heat pumps. This way, we could reduce pollution in the area of Como and comply with regulatory constraints.

Abstract
This way, we could reduce pollution in the area of Como and comply with regulatory constraints.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
