The modular industrialized architecture : project Shanghai

Based on the group work of theoretical writing on the Modular Industrialized Architecture, a personal project dedicated to Shanghai China is proposed—“Project Shanghai”. The project itself tries to realize the spontaneity and autonomy in both systemic and individual scales. Considered as an attempt of self-contextualization, the project continues and reinterprets, rather than imitation, the urban logic in the building system; meanwhile, with the help of the Modular Industrialized Architecture process, every users has been endowed with the capability to express their own living attitudes in considerable terms. “Project Shanghai” displays another possibility of preventing architecture from ending in ultimate solipsism. Democratically, each individual has been pushed to the frontier of urbanization, and everyone can create noticeable revision for the broad urban environment he/she lives; the complex itself is the dynamic indicator of the city, which constantly evolves. Keep changing, and never be static.
