Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and autism are both general terms of a group of complex disorders of brain development. these pathologies are characterized, in varying degrees, by difficulties in social interaction, verbal and non-verbal communication, and repetitive patterns of behavior often accompanied by a disable ’mobility. Different interactive technologies have been explored for autistic children, who are particularly attracted by digital technology. In particular is known that autistic children love to interact with robots and with visual multimedia content in mediumarge screens, through movements and gestures from a distance. The purpose of this thesis project is to integrate the two technologies and combine the two paradigms of interaction, so far used and tested separately, creating a relationship triaxial screen-robot-child.

Abstract
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and autism are both general terms of a group of complex disorders of brain development. these pathologies are characterized, in varying degrees, by difficulties in social interaction, verbal and non-verbal communication, and repetitive patterns of behavior often accompanied by a disable ’mobility. Different interactive technologies have been explored for autistic children, who are particularly attracted by digital technology. In particular is known that autistic children love to interact with robots and with visual multimedia content in mediumarge screens, through movements and gestures from a distance. The purpose of this thesis project is to integrate the two technologies and combine the two paradigms of interaction, so far used and tested separately, creating a relationship triaxial screen-robot-child.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
