This project was part of an international competition for architecture, organised by AC-CA, which aim was the design of a Champagne Bar inside the historical centre of Paris, near the Passerelle des Arts, and down the most famous museum in Paris: the Louvre. The location of the site has echo in the architectural language of the building and its final location and organization. A deep urban study of the surrounding area led to the conclusion that a new pedestrian path was needed on a larger scale. Moreover the project takes place in a natural space of Paris, within the Seine bank and needed to be well integrated in the aquatic environment of the river Seine. In order to design a sustainable project, the technological and energetic strategies are closely linked to the location of the project and its particular environment and specificities, allowing also the project to get a second life, in another area for example. The comfort of the users was an important issue (such as heating conditions or visual comfort) and the behaviour of the building was studied all over the year. The energetic needs are studied in order to find the right compromise among the possible installations. Photovoltaic panels, air exchanger and heat pump are installed in the project to achieve these goals. As a floating building made of concrete, the Champagne Bar is submitted to specific forces and the equilibrium is an important part of the structural work. The project of the Champagne Bar gives an innovative solution for a semi-public building, which enables refurbishment. It offers a new feeling in the city through water experience and a new look over the city, finally integrating a brand new and atypical path along the Seine.

Abstract
It offers a new feeling in the city through water experience and a new look over the city, finally integrating a brand new and atypical path along the Seine.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
