Abstract
San Paolo, megalopolis with 24 millions inhabitants, and its extreme south, with the districts of Parelheiros, Grajaú e Marsilac; areas of contradictions between the urban reality in continuous sprawl, and the rural world. Areas of social exclusion of the poorest classes, without social services or cultural spaces, of favelas in meteor craters alongside with indigenous lands, of environmental protection and Atlantic forest, of big artificial lakes. But especially areas of familiar agricultural production, with over 400 mapped units, which products, due to the lack of road infrastructures in good conditions and the absence of alternative transport ways, struggle to reach the city centre. This is the region where is localized the proposed architectural/infrastructural project, which consists in an ‘Ecoporto’ over the Taquacetuba harm of Billings reservoir, ecoporto intended as harbour part of the Metropolitan Hydro-ring. The Hydro-ring is a waterways system, already in the construction phase, designed by group Metrópole Fluvial: a ring of 170 km of navigable canals, rivers, lakes around the city, with the purpose of foster multiple water uses, new transport methods, and in general, a sustainable metropolitan development. The developed project aims to constitute a new centrality for the extreme south of the city, both infrastructurally/logistically and culturally/educationally; therefore, the included functions spaces from transportation of passengers and agricultural products to spaces for the community (recreational and cultural), up to areas of agricultural production in experimental ways such as hydroponic, roof gardening and food-forest. All this, through a building-machine, taking shape as a linear infrastructure which connect the urbanized area of bairro Jardim Santa Terezinha to the Billings reservoir, extending over it with a stilt-like wooden structure. The panels resume the carried path, from the territorial analysis to the detailed sections of the building, with the foreground idea of project as research and research as project.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
